Artist's Description

This painting is based on a photograph of my son in Washington DC, as we were heading home after eating dinner together in Chinatown. This was my last night with him before being away from each other for a few months, so it was a memorable evening, just the two of us. It was a cold winter night and the steam pouring from the manholes was just so striking that I had to take a picture.
